The gear that you where while riding is not only stylish, but can protect your life. There are many different styles of helmets, jackets, pants, and boots. The next to figure out is how much money you are willing to spend. Just like motorcycles themselves, you can spend anywhere from a little amount of money, to a lot.
First let’s talk about the most important of all your protective gear, your helmet. I like many other riders will not even get on a bike without one. Motorcycling is all about having fun, and being free, but you need to protect yourself while doing so. You should NEVER use just a regular helmet while driving, or riding on a motorcycle. You need to look for a special DOT or DOT/Snell approved helmets. I will say on the back of the helmet if it is. DOT approved helmets start at only 50 dollars, and you can find them at a local Wal-Mart. If you’re looking for more options like cool graphics, and lighter weight materials, you should check out your local motorcycle store. The internet is also a great place for deals and discount prices.
The next steps to finding out what helmet is right for you are finding out what size you are, and is it comfortable. The only way to do this properly is to have a professional assist you at your local motorcycle shop. While trying out helmets you shouldn’t be able to turn your head to the side or up and down while the helmet is strapped on. It also shouldn’t be so tight you have no movement at all. Your helmet should fit your head all the way to the top, but not be too tight at the crown. The professional you speak with will assist you with all of this.
There’s a helmet out there for everyone, from the half-helmets you see Harley riders wear, to the full-faced that have been used for years by the motorcycle racing world. Just remember if you are wearing a half-helmet most states require safety glasses to be worn as well. Full-faced on the other hand are not only the best for safety, you can leave the glasses at home, the flip down visor will protect your eyes.

Finding out what bike is right for you
Now when it comes to buying bikes there are a few key things you need to know. First, to start off what size bike you want, and what you’re going to using it for. Either you want a speedy racing machine, or a bike you’ll be taking on long road trips. These are all things to think about when buying your first used motorcycle. Second, what size motor are you looking to get? They make anything from a 250cc(for the beginning rider) all the way up to a 1400cc power plant.
Let’s get started. If you’re a beginning rider, new or old, I would suggest getting a 600cc bike or smaller. I started out on a 600cc sportbike, but that might not be the right bike for you. It all depends mostly on your height and how comfortable the bike is to you. For people who this might be their first time on a motorcycle(street or dirt) you might want to consider a 250cc, not the most stylish, but certainly the most affordable option. I would defiantly suggest maybe going to a local motorcycle shop to sit on and really get a feel for the different style bikes they have out there.
If you want something a little larger and have a bit more experience riding motorcycles, I would look into getting something with more power and options. For instance they make 750cc to 1400cc motorcycles. The 750cc’s have a noticeable power increase but can handle just as well as a 600cc or lower. This would be a perfect size bike for a rider with little experience or a returning rider. Although if you just are looking for pure power, 1000cc and up is the way to go. I have been told by many owners that some of them are hard to keep the front wheel on the ground. Now that’s a lot of power!
Once you get down the basics and complete your motorcycle safety course, there are limitless options you have when choosing a new or used bike. They also offer many different ways to customize them to your personal wants and needs. I hope this gave you a little insight on what to look for in your new ride. Now there’s only one thing left to do, get out there and ride!

09-10 zx6r
Now i don't know about everyone else out there, but I'm a huge Kawasaki fan! When they finally came out with a competitive 600cc bike i was ecstatic. Not only is it now the fastest 600cc class bike, but i think it's the most stylish as well.
The bike has been completely revamped, new headlights, rider possition, even a whole new engine! Now if i were you i would think twice about buying a more expensive bike. Kawi is still the cheapest, and now the fastest, 600 on the market.
Everyone has their own favorite streetbike, weither it's a sportbike or a harley davidson. Even if you don't ride motorcycles, im sure there's one that would interest you. Tell me what you think about new 09-10 zx6r?
